One point you might not be aware of : U-Haul dealers are generally
independently owned franchises.
While your experience was certainly bad, it sounds like it was the fault
of the
store manager and employees, not of U-Haul. In some ways you were
lucky, I would've probably told you that you couldn't have the trailer
rather than risk letting you loose unsupervised in my shop.
