If you haven't thown out the old connectors, the rubber tube/sleeve on the
outside of the metal part is removable. This is done by inserting a small awl
(hey, that rhymes!), and running it around the outside of the metal, just under
the rubber to free it up. Then the metal part is pushed out with an alignment
punch or drill bit.
I removed the rubber on all the connectors that were on my TR 250 harness,
and glass beaded the metal part, as well as the bullet ends to the wires. I

don't want to have any of those annoyingly petty weak or bad electrical
connection
problems when the 250 hits the road. I will tell you that this was only
possible be-
cause I have my harness out.
Replacing broken/corroded connectors and steel wool or "Scotch Brite"ing the
connectors will work just as well.
