Why glue.  Just roll up a small piece of sand paper.  Insert into the socket
and twist.  If you the paper clockwise and twist clockwise, the paper expands
to fill the socket.  I would recommend finer sand paper.  It produces a
smoother finish and, thus, should give a better contact.
