I cannot speak to the transmission, but digital gauges are available from 
Aircraft Spruce and Supply.  Catalog is $5, but chick full of interesting stuff 
for the home builder.  Good source of RivNuts, too.

i'm also looking to replace all of my gauges with digital one's,  i once saw
some replacements for analog to digital in a magazine years and years ago.
