Hi all -

I hesitate to be one to temper the enthusiasm for running a
TR on a daily basis. I too like to get the most out of owning the car,
especially during the summer months. Personally, I don't think I'd ever
seriously consider running it as an only car though. For my own lifestyle,
there are a lot of times when I need to have a little more space. Might
there be times when you want to for instance take one or two people +
luggage to th' airport? You can buy a luggage rack, but - that trunk isn't
too big you must admit. I think some of the responders to your question
were talking more about running their car as their #1 during the summer,
but using the 'other car' for odd trips and winter use. I interpreted your
question more as 'Should I run my TR6 as my only car?'

In addition, maybe I'm getting old (26...) but I really prefer driving the
TR when I'm 'in the mood'. The firm ride can get a little wearing when one
is tired. Also, sometimes I just don't want to worry so much about the
chance of things going wrong.

I imagine you may have thought about these issues and are willing to live
with them. Would hate to see you get into it, then realize you weren't
ready for it and lose your love for the car. Just my $0.02.

Pete
