We have the problem of suitable lots. Only one of the lots we regularly use is
suitable for karts. With two events there per year, it no wonder that no one
wants to spend the money to prepare a kart. Only other karting in this area is
oval dirt track.

We had one kart come out for our first event. Our second event used a lot that
was not suitable for karts so he couldn't participate.

I think there are a couple of reasons. One is that not every region has
a smooth lot to race on. Many, like our old Kent site, are quite bumpy
which is tough a kart driver (or an F440 driver for that matter). Here
in Seattle we have the additional problem of rain. Face it driving an
open-top car of any sort in the rain is no fun, even more so when you're
inches off the ground and getting splashed with water constantly.

We used to see the occasional kart now and then but it's been years
since I've seen one at a regional event although there are usually a few
at the NT.

I can see why F125 is in trouble if there are too many regions where the
site surface or the weather prevents F125s from showing up.
