RE: in-car cameras

I had a camera mounted on the roll-bar on a 356 Carrera speedster and - it
seemed upon reviewing the film - that the camera was picking up some kind of
electronic field effects which were relative to the engine speed - in other
words - the higher the engine rpm - the worse the picture would appear.  We
suspected the shielding around the ignition but really don't know for sure.
The camera was mounted on the top of the roll bar on the passenger side.
Any ideas?
