The [CSRG] D.O. listens in on a headset to the corner worker
        chatter.

It *might* help. The SCCA landline is typically pretty quiet about
driver behaviour, unless there's an incident/situation/accident, or the
driver does something likely to merit a black flag. We occasionally
have DOs out at regional events and they are there explicitly to make
comments for the stewards.

It's mostly a division of labor situation - the comm folks aren't there
to police the drivers. That doesn't mean that we don't talk about them
- just not on the landline.

That the corvette did something stupid was no surprise - we saw him
overdriving before, but not that badly. That the TRs had an oops was an
impressive surprise.

We actually called in 227 (I think, blue sports racer in the under 2200
class) for slamming the door on 2 green (the Mallock), which happened
the lap before 2 tapped 227 at T3. Those incidents generated written
reports. I don't know how many others did.

The fact that we gave out an award to the flagger who had "caught the
most cars without wheels" says a lot by itself!

(While you're writing to Mr. Earle, you might mention that he really
needs to build some slack into his schedules, so we have an opporunity
to make up slippage caused by end-of-session tows, or late starts
due to the billionaire boys club, or whatever.)
