I'd recommend that you buy a new shaft and pin and reinforce it with another
bolt & nut according to details in the Buckeye web site ( I took a photo of
mine when I did it last year; let me know if you need it). I'd also
recommend you tap out the flat pins in your fork that guide the throwout
bearing and replace them as well. As far as the bearings in the trans
housing, they come out easily with an appropriate size socket. They should
tap right out. Replace those as well. The sum total of these parts isn't
much and I think it's best to renew all these components since they're not
readily accessible.
