i started a "call evry day and request speedvision" campagin here. i asked
evry person i knew at the time to call my cable company and add the channel.
in spite of working for the dealership that sold and serviced the cable
company's jaguar i had been warned not to speak to the owner at work when he
was picking up his jag. ok how do you get a point across without making
waves at work? being a subscriber i decided to call daily! we now have
speedvision as an extended channel coverage. it still is not a part of
basic package but knowing people who do not get speedvision, i can relate to
their taking over relatives telivisions during holiday visits out of town!
i do not know if my phone campagin was the reason we now have speedvision or
not. but i would like to think i helped!

chuck
my relatives that lived near baltimore dreaded my visits prior to my
recieving the channel here at home......c.

homes here in Western PA if the cable companies wised up and offered
Speedvision as part of their basic package! I installed a satellite dish 2
1/2 years ago JUST for Speedvision (boy, was THAT a struggle with the Mrs!).
Now we have TWO receivers, since that is the ONLY station I watch
regularly...
