I'm absolutely with John on this. As a 24 year competitor in SFR, I've seen
a trend in attempting to arrange run groups. It used to be that you could
count on competitors to run consistently and in the same class, often for years
at a time. You could almost set the run groups once per year and let it go.
Now, we adjust them to what appears to be a current tren, only to find out that
it's not a trend at all. Kind of like the difference between "climate" and
"weather." It's as if we used to have a climate, like San Diego, with
consistencies from day to day (event to event), but now we have weather, like
the
Midwest, where they say "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute...
it'll
change."
I'll predict that splitting up the Street Tire class will have no effect on
our run group problems, but that the SC will fail to recognize that and
reinstate it as a single class.
