My 1600 ran hot too. I had the rad recored which helped a lot. Don't get one
of those hi-efficiency rad cores as they have too many fins and block
airflow. Also make sure it's a 3 row core.

I would flush the entire system before doing that to make sure everything is
clean as it can be. I use Prestone flush and it seems to work OK.

I also use Redline Waterwetter which helps a bit. Try to run a mix of 40% af
to 60% water. AF is a horrible heat conductor.

You're not running a metal 4 blade fan are you? They're garbage.
