Try removing the thermostat completely. The engine will be slow to warm
up, but will show you if there isa problem with the thermostat or not.

Take a look at the lower radiator hose, it may be colapsing, cutting off
the coolant flow. Take it off and look inside, sometimes the rubber will
look good on the outside, but be separated on the inside.
