Howdy,

I'd agree with that and suggest that Ray push the idea (locally please)
that the North Park Sports Car Club up here uses. They limit the stock
classes to street tires and have a PAX class for the 'serious' people who
have R tires for their stock class car.

By and large it seems to give a decent class structure with more of the
"serious" autox-er's running PAX and comparing themselves off indexed
time, and more of the "semi-serious" competitors competing in the regular
stock classes.

Note that I don't think its any more equitable than the other way around,
but I think it takes advantage of the fact (or maybe just my observation)
that people that are serious enough to buy R-tires are more likely to
concentratre more on driving and less on whining.

MHO. I never understood the the importance people put on local trophies
though, so maybe I just completely miss the point.

Mark
(I just spent $1k on tires that I expect to get 3 hours actual driving
time out of at a max. Am I serious now?)
