The 'roll bar' in question came out of an older club racer TR3. Plenty strong,
well built and designed. It certainly does not meet current standards and is not
a roll cage. However, it is a lot better than the roll bar I had in my '55 MG TF
1500 and the one in my '57 TR3 when I had my SCCA license in '62 & '63!

Don't install a 'roll bar'.  Install a roll bar.  IMHO, either it's strong
enough to do something or it does not belong on your car.

Cable ties the same color as the padding are what I used on my Midget.
