It is also extremely good at removing all deposits from you 
cylinder walls, if you put it in an old, but still working
engine.  It will "clean" the engine, remove the deposits and
you will be left to re-build the engine because of blow by. 

I would not recommend STP because I have used it, and don't
like it.  

It is made up of extremely long molecules, that increase the
weight of the oil.  It is used to boost your oil pressure, 
but you only likely to have low oil pressure when your bores
have worn.  Hence it don't do much good.
