Yes, and Yes- The reason for the rocker supply pipe is very different than
anyone else's. When the cam bearings were installed by my brother, he
neglected to locate the oil supply galley to the rear cam bearing ( he lined
it up with the others). While this did not preclude lubrication of the cam
journal, it did eliminate oiling of the rocker shaft. Being loathe to remove
and dismantle the motor again, the external supply line was the answer. The
only problem we have tends to be a large amount of oil sprayed out through
the valve cover vent at high G's (on the track, they can get very high).
Next project is to put a splash plate over the vent line.
