Suggestion: After the first 175 entrants register,
only SCCA members allowed. After 250 entries or 12
noon, registration closes.

Simple and equitable, finesse the number over time so
we know what we can handle with having to have a
superhero for an event chair.

If this stresses registration (a stressful place to
work!) too much, then add a card-counter worker
position. We don't seem to be short of people.

WHY NOT THREE RUNS: - Because runs aren't the problem:
A three run limit *does not address the problem*. What
determines the length of an event?:

1) Course length/overlap
2) Number of runs
3) Time Leakage, i.e.: prompt start, fast worker
changeovers
4) Correct operation of equipment/reruns etc.
5) Number of entrants or weather

Each of these except the last is currently in our
control.
Therefore, whether it's one run or five runs, we
can't predict anything. Fixing the number of entrants
gives control over all the variables in our events.

Somebody tell me why limiting entry to a manageable
amount doesn't solve the problem?? It means we control
all the variables in an event. What if 11,000 people
show? Do we let them all register! The dudes at
DeAnza figured it out.

p.s. Great event, great people (well done Keith and
Nanda), great course, long day.
