The 10 year rule is idiocy. From the way it looks, Dave floated it as an
idea and it was stated as such. I suspect by now that he's gotten enough
feedback to know it wouldn't be very popular. :-)
If your concern is that an older "ringer" car will suddenly show up and
start beating up on people because they're able to cheat because docs
aren't available... Please. First off, the competitor is required to
provide the documentation from the factory. If they can't, they're done
right then. Second, how many old ringer cars do you think there are in
the stock classes anyway?
This idea wasn't horribly thought out in the first place. Dave presented
it as such, so no blame for him. But for Pete's sake, let it die the
death it deserves.
