I'm paying $7.50/tire to mount Kumhos at a local tire shop,
including balancing and disposal! (Their posted rate is $15/tire
for mounting only.) It took a while to get volume pricing, :-)
but it was worth it in the end. The manager was even working
on a stickers for free mounting deal for me at the end
of last season.

Fostering a relationship with a local tire shop is important
when you don't have your own garage. I know that at least
one other local club member uses this same place. When
we first went in there, they made us sign waivers before
they'd let us out the door with -1.5 camber on the alignment
machine. Now, they're asking if I'm sure that I ONLY want
to go -2.5!!! They've done alignments with my big butt
sitting in the driver's seat, too. :-)

In our region, we also have several club members that own
repair shops. I've utilized them a few times in the past
as well. You should check your region's membership list
to see what everyone does for a living. You might be surprised
to find someone in your own club that points you to their
tire machine and reminds you to let the air out before putting
your rim on the bead-breaker.....
