Make a "dummy" generator by removing the field coils from the case, and armature pieces from the shaft. Just let the pulley act as an idler, and mount it in the regular location. This will take care of the appearance you are looking for. Next is the hard part. Mount a small Jap alternator on the differential, driving it off a pulley on the pinion flange. It can be done with a little creative engineering. JW |
