Sorry to burst your bubble but the 7 (slant four) engine is IRON only the
head is aluminium, on the lighter (no pun intended) side I have seen a spit
with the Dolomite Sprint engine fitted same slant four block with the 16v
head, that baby went, until is sheared all four wheelstuds on one side! This
can be overcome by fitting the studs from the Sprint, 7/16 instead of 3/8
UNF they are a direct replacement for the Spit studs. I do not recall which
box he had used but the Spit, 1850, early 7 box would not last long with
that engine!
