 i have wondered this for years.....seems like the 7 five speed should
attach to the spit bell housing, so the starter would connect right up. i
believe the main shaft is different so ....how to change that or get it to
connect to the spit crank is the problem. i doubt the 7 and spit trans have
a compatible main shaft....but i have never checked. i wonder if its
possible to replace the 7 five speed main shaft with a spit main shaft? who
has tried this? later geo
