We always called it a 'P-38'.......but that's in the mid to late 50's......(I
have eaten C-Rations........dated l943, believe it or not..........with
"Mother's Cookies".........which haden't seen a 'mother' in 12-15

"Popeye" cartoon character Wimpey who loved them, and would eat
dozens...........he
was large, obese and non-agressive and I think that was where the term 'wimp'
came from........
