I am 6'3" and have put 165,000 miles on my 67 4A, most of them with a
minimally acceptable level of comfort. Originally I had the steering
wheel all the way down and had somewhat the same problem with leg
clearance. When I adjusted it up, leg clearance was much better, but
arm position was more congested. You might also find it a worthwhile
tradeoff. Steering wheel position is adjusted under the hood by
loosening a bracket and sliding the upper shaft.
