Interestingly enough, the local Sears advertises that the Craftsman hand
tool warranty does not apply to torque wrenches.  You might have trouble
taking it back.

Personally, if I bought (another) torque wrench, I'd keep it.  I had
enough run-around buying a power tool from Sears that was defective...
although they did "fix" it, I had to strip it down and repair it proper.
There was a deal a while back that I found- $50 for a DND-spec torque
wrench.  It had a circular "torque gauge"- the needle rotated as you
tightened.  I didn't have $50 on me, and it was a cash-and-carry deal.  I
think it was more for heavy stuff anyway.
