That was kind of my gist.... guess humor doesn't translate that well in this 
medium....

But since we're on the subject.... anybody notice that such cars (Cobra, Tiger, 
TVR) were _not_ big sellers when new?  (Obviously, execution played a big 
role....) Of course, they're highly valued now.... while similar failures such 
as the MGC are not.  Why didn't these cars sell?

I think their failures predicted the doom of British sports cars.  What if MG 
had sold their V-8 over here?  What if the TR7 had come with it in 1976?  What 
if the Cobra (or even Tiger...which was killed by corporate politics) had 
survived into the 70's. Would the industry still have died?

Oh,  on the MGC... I've stumbled across one locally for sale at a reasonable 
price.  Not having dealt with one in years.... many years.... I got some 
feedback from the MG list (pretty much saying to buy it, but warning me of some 
issues like parts cost and availability).  Anybody here have any comments?  

(No, it would not replace the TR6, just park beside it.)
