My HO, I have a sears 3 ton jack and an alltrade 3 ton jack, both
work. but with the alltrade, i get higher lift than with the sears, so
the alltrade get's used more, (I inhereted the sears). never had a
problem and i still have the seal kit round here somewhere, god help me
if it ever breaks for finding them. i also have a alltrade engine
stand, and an alltrade engine hoist. both fine pieces of equipment,
IMHO, sears is over priced for everything, and as mentioned before very
exclusive, the "cheap" hand tools and sockets i buy at harbor freight
also come with a lifetime warranty, broken many an adapter that wasn't
meant for impact use and never had a hassle trading it in 30 minutes
later at harbor freight looking like i just crawled out from underneath
a car, which i usually do. sears won't even talk to me if i don't at
least shower first. (at least here) so go with the all trade and spend
the 40 buck difference on 4 jackstands (if you can find them for 20
bucks a set)
