After 20 years of wanting one, I now have a late '74 TR6.
It's little changed since the day it was made except for the
rebuilt engine and all the millions of little things that need fixing.
I have a few questions:
- The top still has clear windows. What causes windows to yellow.
What are the big mistakes that ruin convertible top windows?
- The rear end has a moan at 40+mph. Is the a noise like this
generally mean that the diff is about to go?
- It shifts hard. The transmisson shifts without grinding but
the friction, which feels like its comming from the base of the
shift lever, takes away any feel of what's going on in the transmission.
Is this common? Is there a rebuild kit that I should get?
