Hi Mark,

You could always do what I did, I found a house right in the middle of the
city with a 24 x 24 shop in the backyard and plenty of hardscape around it.

I'm interested in the answers you get here since I have sub-standard
electrical service to my shop, and no plumbing facilities. I've thought
about renting the house out at
a later date and keeping the shop, but I'd need a toilet and such to make
that practical.

I'm also trying to decide on cooling systems (no need for heat here in AZ).
Does anyone have thoughts on which is better, swamp or AC? My thoughts are
swamp coolers are more efficient but take longer to cool the place down.
Since I only get the chance to work a few hours a week what about putting a
big wall mount AC unit right next to my work area and just running it when
I'm there vs. having to wait for the swamp cooler to chill the entire shop.
Also it's not insulated yet so I don't have much hope of keeping it cool
with 10' ceilings and fiberglass roll up doors. Has anyone on the list BTDT?

Thanks,

John
