Hello Lew,
here about my engine color.
Car is: NA 468 ( 2 seater ND)
Engine No. 719 AN
This engine I have rebuilt twice since 1969 and never found a trace of GREEN
Engine color now red (RAL 3003 - this is I think a european standard code,
and a not so light red)

OK, here it is. This has also been posted on the MG Enthusiasts BBS
under Pre-War.
We uninformed Triple-M'ers in the US seem to be having a raging debate
over original MMM engine colors. We know what has been published over
the years, but are trying to do a survey of original engine colors.
If you care to participate, e-mail me with the following details:
Your name
Your car type (M, PA, J1, J2, etc.)
Your engine number
The original (or lowest level) engine paint color
The current engine color (be specific to shade)
