Well, I got the head off the TR7 last night, and found that, as suspected,
I have to replace the valves in cylinders 1 and 4. waaaa.
However, given how long it took me to do it, and watching other
shop members working on their cars (plus the recent post on a GT6 head), I
noticed something rather interesting: Whereas the average gearhead
complains about how difficult and time-consuming it is to work on their
cars, we (the british car nuts) are all so experienced at tearing down our
cars that we stand around and brag about how quickly we can pull out our
engines, etc. Of course, the fact that the cars are so easy to work on may
have something to do with this...
