I would suspect he's talking about the more blatant imitators, ie the
Cobra replica manufacturers. I would imagine at this point several
times as many replicas as originals are rolling around, and many
manufacturers claim to be better than the original.
I'd love to own a replica, but still it must be a bit galling to see
so many companies making a killing on knockoffs of your idea.
