#9, If you don't think you're in a safe location, move.  That means that 
if cars are going by you simultaniously on both sides, so you can't keep 
your eye on "the car" as it goes by, you probably oughta find someplace
else to stand.

#10, If you see something unsafe, or are wondering about it, ask.
Don't come around later and say, "Gee, I wondered why y'all didn't
change that..."  The event chairs and safety stewards can't see
*everything*, all the time.  There's nothing worse than hearing,
"Did you see those two spectators who were standing right next
to the cones at the edge of the course two hours ago?"  I'd far 
rather hear about it while I can fix it.  People are actually pretty
good about this, but it never hurts to be reminded...
