Craig,

Agenda is usually developed in the day or two before the meeting,
too late for publication. Further, anyone (even if you are not
a member of the SC) can get on the agenda just by showing up at
the meeting.

Minutes are not approved till the following month's meeting, so
they would always be at least that late. Lots of additional
work for your overburdened webmaster, too. Further,
nobody would read them. Nobody reads them in the Wheel
even today.

People come from Pleasanton and farther to the SC meetings.
It's tough, it's boring, but if someone wants to have a influence,
I don't think it's much to ask. I have always felt it was part of
my duty as someone enjoying autocrosses, to do my part or more
to keep them going.

I think it's worth pointing out to new autocrossers that
SFR is not a republic, where there are representatives doing your
will. It's a democracy, where those who show up get a vote,
those who do not show up get to take what voters decide.
Anybody can show up and get a vote (after showing up enough).
It's all here: http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/committee.html

The Solo2 process is open to anyone, but you have to take the steps
to be heard. And it's funny to complain about a closed system
when in actuality one simply won't step into the room through the
open door.
