Well, I'm not sure if I'd recommend the Yokohama A520, because it might not
fit your criteria, but I will describe my experience and let you decide for
yourself.

I on my second set of A520's on my Prelude. The first set lasted 4000 miles
of street use, with 60 autox runs (half of which were at 3Com and
McClellan). They were frequently rotated and at the 3000 miles mark/45 runs,
dismounted and flipped over. I probably could have gotten 10-15 more runs
before they resembled a Hoosier, but I picked up a screw and was forced to
get a new set.

The second set has been much more durable, mostly because we've run on less
abrasive surfaces and also because I've improved my driving to the point
where I no longer plow into corners and roast the inside front upon
accelerating out of corners. So far, I've got 3500 miles and 54 runs. They
look great and I can easily get another 30-40 runs if I had them dismounted
and flipped over. However, at that point, they would beyond the wear bars
and I wouldnt even considered driving them in the rain.

They're relatively cheap at around $100 each. The downside is that they do
wear very fast (treadwear 140) and they are really loud on the freeway. I've
heard that they're pretty good in the rain, but I dont have much personal
experience since it hasnt rained in the 6 months I've had these tires.
