Slow corners in an autocross don't give you a choice. If
you have a light really good handling car that can fly around
higher speed corners that advantage is lost on a really slow
speed corner. The cars that benefit from slow corners are cars
with lots of horsepower and traction because they can accelerate
hard out of a slow corner. You cannot compare an autocross
corner to a race track corner. You have to drive them entirely
differently. In an autocross you brake as late as you can. On
a race track late braking will over heat your brakes, cause you
to over brake for the corner and lose speed, or at worst run off
course. FWIW.
