Yeah, they stop. I went through a set of Panthers in six autox events.
Correct that, I went halfway through the left hand pad, and through the
right hand pad into my rear rotor. My fault for not checking, but I never
expected to get six autox events and maybe 4K street miles from a brake pad.
I have no idea why the right pad wore twice as fast as the left; the car
stopped straight and the stock pads showed no unusual wear pattern. I need
to call Carbotech and figure out what happened, but I'm not putting those
pads back on the car. YMMV.
