Steve,
Copper work-hardens from vibration and will fracture without warning. I
replaced a copper fuel line in an Alpine 5 recently that cracked while the
owner was driving down Interstate 5: she said she smelled gasoline fumes, but
she did not realize the danger until she ran out of fuel. Prior to her
drive, she had filled her tanks, and fortunately there was no fire from the
12+ gallons that sprayed over her exhaust manifold. Use steel tubing.
