Okay...here's my 2 cents.
I guess for me it depends on the car. My '61 Harrington is a good example. When
I first began the restoration, I wanted to paint it Seacrest Green instead of
it's original Wedgewood Blue. The car was so complete and original that I
couldn't make myself change the color. I just had to keep it stock. I would feel
the same about any good original car that I was restoring. On the other hand, if
it was a real project car that required a ton of work and new parts...I'd change
the color if I desired. Sure why not. I would, however, keep it a stock Alpine
color.

Someone else made the comment that using a color from a different era dosen't
look right. I would have to agree with that statement and have thought the same
thing to myself before. There's a certain feeling that an Alpine has when it's a
correct factory color. They just look right.
