So here's something I've been wondering about. Do coils get
weaker with age? They have no moving parts, and you'd think that
they'd either work or not.
And . . .
My 6 has been running rich. There's black soot all over the rear
bumper, and the tailpipes are seriously black. I just did a
fairly complete ignition tune up, and the car runs a *lot*
better. What are the chances it doesn't run rich any more?
Could the improved spark be doing a better job of burning the
fuel, rather than just pumping it out the back?
