Jeff, I'm not surprised your engine doesn't like the choke being pulled out more
than 1/2". This thing was designed for British winters, not California summers!
Even here in England, unless it's very cold, I don't pull the choke all the way
out!

I also suspect that I'm running too rich based on the behavior of my
engine when it's cold and the choke is pulled out more than 1/2". The
engine doesn't like that one bit!
