Hello,

Seeing as how my 67.5 1600 is at work today (is yours?), I took a quick
look.

I know it had hood pins at one time, the hood has been fixed, but it still
has the holes on this same shelf that Tom is talking about. The holes on
my car are also quite brutal, pretty ugly looking and need to be fixed.
They are in a different spot than Tom's. The drivers side hole is to the
outside of the brake master cylinder, and the passenger side hole is to the
outside of the VIN plate. Pretty much the corners of the hood.

FWIW,
Robert

Hello,

I think I know what they are. You did mention that the 67.5 was a racecar
at
one time. As well, Dave Pina says that his car had them too. His is an
(almost) ex-BRE Racecar.

Many racers used hood pins to hold the hood down. They didnt really on just

the standard hood latch but would also have a couple pins that went through
the hood and then were locked down by a large "Cotter" type pin.

It sounds like your racer had these on the car at one time. The hood doesnt

show it as it was probably replaced.
