I had the same problem. I got home and fired up my compressor to use my
impact gun, an IR 2131, to loosen the nuts and then torque them correctly.
My gun couldn't remove them and it's rated at 450 ft lbs!!!! I freaked and
then I got out my breaker bar and a 3 foot extension and they finally broke
loose. The next time I bought tires there I brought my torque wrench and had
them use that to tighten the nuts. They bitched about it but when I told the
owner he had them use it.

BTW, I always use antiseize on the studs.
