Hey,

I am a knucklehead too and restored a car that was basically a hunk of
rust into the car that is admired, and yes, when people ask me who did
the restoration I can say I did "most" of the work and be proud of that
fact. I don't do body or paint. I did all of the interior too.

I know almost every nut and bolt on the car intimately as I put
everything together (the tunnel carpel in my wrists will attest to that)
and when something goes wrong I can usually figure out the problem.

However, knowing what I know now, and how expensive restorations can get
- I have over $10,000 into mine (at 1980s prices!) - I suggested another
alternative.

Mike

If it wasn't for knuckleheads like me and the other guys who buy them as
junk and then fix them then there would be no restored cars for
knuckleheads
like you and the guys who simply buy them and drive them. Wait... I
think
I'm beginning to see a flaw in my plan here. Seriously though, I did
want
to rebuild the car from the ground up simply because I wanted the
satisfaction of being able to say to someone who asked that " I did it
myself ."
