I have had my Roadster for about a yr and a 1/2 now; paid $2900
plus about $400 in repairs to get it in great daily-driver
condition. I doubt I could break even selling it. Compared to how
great a condition I thought it was in when I bought it, the $LIST$
of things it 'needs' now is absolutely astonishing (my first
Roadster. Duh, I was stupid (to pay that much)).
I vacillate over a $400 Maaco job just to get it looking nice
(ok, that's an arguable conclusion) and getting it done it 'right'
knowing full well I'd loose my $hort$ doing so.

But then when I fire it up.. actually every day!! Let alone on a
Saturday morning when I head up in the mountains looking for new
2-lane twisties and no patrol cars.. Oh man.. who cares.. It's
still cheaper than a <newer-sports-car>. And I prefer old cars
anyway.

Thanks for the detail Paul! I have GOT to get my wife to one of
these rally's. It won't change her mind about thinking I'm nuts, but
maybe it'd help if she knew I wasn't alone! :)
