                Your still orbiting. I made no implication that Kumho is 
making money from people who drive "R" rated tires on the street. The truth 
is just the opposite.
A 315/35-17 V700 for my car is about $160-$170 each. The street version of a 
tire that size is approx. $400. Kumho is not making money on "R" rated tires. 
If the law passed they would stop making them because they don't make money 
on them and the Draconian legal implications of the DOT regs. would leave 
them little choice.

              As far as driving Kumho'e on the street, with their steel belts 
you could probably drive a Kumho with no rubber on it across the country. I 
know lots of people who use use Kumho's BECAUSE they can drive to and from 
events safely even if they cord a tire. I did it for three years. A Hoosier 
is a death trap on the street as is has no steel belts. You cord one and you 
take your life in your hands driving home.
