Come on, you can't be as big as Mike B. 8-)

FF do not have alternators, they run a race on the battery. They were not
designed with Solo in mind. Same with cooling fans. Don't have them. The
airflow through the radiator in a road race will keep the engine
sufficiently cool. Soloists have the choice of risking an overheated
engine, or, if they choose to put cooling fans in, running down the battery
on a hot day.

FWIW, I am not griping about this. I autocross a FF in New England. Over
the last two years, it has meant sitting in a cold cockpit as snow flurries
coated my visor; sitting in a puddle at the Ayer Tour this year as the
clouds opened up; and sitting in the hot sun getting my brain baked on 100
degree days. Yet, I would not trade any of it for a ride in any Stock, ST,
or SP car. Too much fun.

I was pointing out that weighing a car after it leaves the course would
become a large strain on the battery and cooling system of Modified cars.
It is asking the car to do something for which is was not designed.
