Josh,

Well, what I currently do is something a CM driver of good reputation told me 
to do.  It is to finish your braking, turn, select the gear (all with the 
clutch in), release the clutch and go.  This worked wonders for my GS-R and 
also my 1st Gen RX-7.  So far, I've only used it once for my GSX and it 
worked well.

PS--I do this on the street, I just think it to be a waste of precious time 
on course.
