"Heavily modded" may be a bad deal if you wanna have a legal SP
car. You might have to undo some of the mods just to get the car
legal. Better to get an original one and start from there. Better
yet, buy one that's already been developed and proven to be
capable of winning. BOTH the Cave Elan and the Nagler RX7tt were
offered for sale after having won Nationals.

I think when Craig Nagler put his up for sale, it was under $30k
ready to compete, and presumably legal. My memory may be off on
that, however.

It's really on the high side for an Elan, too. I was being
conservative. If you've got $20k to put into an SP car AND you
know what does and doesn't work, I'd say you could wind up with a
primo ASP Elan. And change.

I'm not bashing, I'm defending. ;<)

It's OK with me if the RX7tt, 911, and Elan all stay in ASP, even
though my ASP car isn't any one of those.
